Privacy Policy

Thermit Inc. ("the company") handles your personal information with care and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and related legislation. This policy explains what we receive, use, and delete on thermit.io. This is a reference translation; the Korean version is the legally binding text.

01What we receive

We only receive what you type in yourself. There is no sign-up, and simply browsing this website collects no personal information at all.

Contact form

Required — name, email address, message

Optional — company name

Job application

Required — name, education, email address, phone number, about you

Optional — links to portfolio/GitHub/résumé, portfolio files (up to 50MB each)

Portfolios and résumés can come in as links or file attachments. Attached files are kept in private storage that only hiring staff can access — they are never exposed to visitors or search engines.

02What we use it for

We use what we receive only for the purposes below. If a purpose changes, we tell you and ask first.

  • To answer your enquiry and follow up where needed
  • To run the hiring process and tell you the outcome
  • To keep records that legislation requires us to retain

03How long we keep it

We delete it without delay once the period ends. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do so immediately unless legislation requires retention.

Enquiries — 3 years from receipt

So that we can trace how an enquiry led to a transaction, if it did.

Job applications — 1 year from receipt

One year so we can revisit you for a later opening, then deleted. Ask us sooner and we delete it right away.

04How we delete it

Once the period ends or the purpose is gone, we erase the information in a way that cannot be recovered. Electronic records are deleted outright from the database, and we do not keep printed copies of personal information.

05We do not pass it on

We do not provide your personal information to third parties. We do entrust processing to one provider.

Processor — Supabase, Inc.

Database operation and storage

Data is stored in the Republic of Korea (Seoul) region and is not transferred abroad.

The exception is a lawful request from an investigative authority with a statutory basis. Even then, we first verify the basis and the scope of the request.

06Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies that track visitors. There is no Google Analytics and no analytics or advertising tool of any kind.

Cookies are used in two places only: keeping an administrator signed in to the admin area (never issued to ordinary visitors), and a functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers whether you last read this site in Korean or English so your next visit opens in the same language — it is not used for tracking or identification. Whether the opening animation has already played is kept in your own browser (sessionStorage) and never sent to our servers.

07Your rights

You may exercise the following at any time. Write to the contact below and we will act without delay and tell you the outcome.

  • Access — see what we hold
  • Correction — fix anything wrong
  • Deletion — erase what we hold
  • Suspension — stop us using it further

We do not collect personal information from children under the age of 14.

08How we keep it safe

We take the following measures so that personal information is neither leaked nor damaged.

  • Access is limited to the people whose work genuinely requires it, and that limit is enforced at the database level (row-level security).
  • Personal information is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
  • Administrator access requires separate authentication and is logged.

09Privacy officer

For questions, complaints, or remedies concerning how we handle personal information, write to the address below. We read it as soon as it arrives and reply.
